AC Milan could try to re-sign Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli on another loan deal in the summer, according to Italian outlet Fanta Gazzetta.

The striker, who joined Liverpool from AC Milan in 2014, was loaned out to the Italian giants on a season-long loan deal last summer after a disappointing spell on Merseyside.

Balotelli managed just four goals in 28 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool, and his loan stint at AC Milan was equally unimpressive, with the Italian international netting just three times in 23 games.

The 25-year-old is expected to return to Liverpool in the summer, but it seems highly unlikely that he will have a future at Anfield.

However, despite his poor outings in the 2015/16 campaign, AC Milan may take another gamble on Balotelli by trying to take him to the San Siro on another season-long loan deal.

Newly promoted Serie A side Crotone have also been linked with making a move for Balotelli, whose present contract with Liverpool runs until 2018.

The forward, who counts Inter Milan and Manchester City amongst his former employers, has 33 caps and 13 goals for Italy to his name.
