Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has revealed that he has had an enjoyable experience this season and explained that he does not see how he could not have made progress given the calibre of players he is turning out alongside at the club.

Alli, who played his first full season in the Premier League this term, after arriving from MK Dons last summer, was in impressive form for his team.

The England international in fact featured in 33 of his side's 38 league matches, scoring ten goals and also helped in setting up nine more.

His performances earned him recognition, with the player being selected in the Premier League PFA Team of the Year for 2015/16 and also being named the PFA Young Player of the Year.

Alli on his part thanks his team-mates and his manager Mauricio Pochettino for helping to turbo charge his progress and also showing faith in him by putting him into the first team.

“It’s been really good for me and obviously I’ve been able to learn a lot – it would be hard not to learn a lot when you’re playing with this group of players and the manager we’ve got here”, Alli told his club's official website.

“I knew how good the team was when I signed here, that was probably why I didn’t expect to play as much as I have and I knew I was going to have to fight for my place.

“Thankfully when I got the opportunity I took it and I have to thank the manager a lot for what’s happened to me so far, how he’s helped me and put a lot of trust in me. It all made it easy for me to go out there and play my football.

“It was an enjoyable experience playing here at Tottenham over the last season and hopefully there will be many more good times to come.”
