Barrie McKay insists that his Rangers team-mates helped him to excel and enjoy a successful 2015/16 campaign.

The winger, who previously enjoyed loan spells at Greenock Morton and Raith Rovers, was in great form for Rangers last season under new manager Mark Warburton.

McKay scored nine goals and provided 13 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions for Rangers and helped the club to win the Scottish Championship title and the Challenge Cup.

The 21-year-old’s impressive displays also earned him his maiden senior international call-up as the winger was included in the Scotland squad who are due to face Italy and France in friendly games on 29th May and 4th June respectively.

And McKay, who is hopeful about Rangers improving their squad over the summer, explained that his team-mates at Ibrox helped him evolve as a better player in the recently concluded season.
