AC Milan are considering a potential move for former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.

The centre-back slipped down the pecking order at Anfield under former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers and returned to his homeland with Danish side Brondby in the summer of 2014 for a fee of just £3m.

However, following two years at Brondby, there have been suggestions Agger is again ready to play in a major league and AC Milan are thinking of moving for the 31-year-old, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.

The Rossoneri feel Agger can still cut the mustard in one of Europe's major leagues, while the former Liverpool man may be attracted to the idea of moving to Italy.

Brondby currently sit just fourth in the Danish Superliga, with the season not yet finished in the country.
