Colin Kazim-Richards could be set to quickly exit Celtic with Brazilian top flight club Coritiba hopeful of pushing a deal for the forward over the line.

The Bhoys only snapped up Kazim-Richards in the winter transfer window, however with Brendan Rodgers installed as manager at Parkhead, the Turkey international could be set to head to Brazil.

Coritiba are expecting Kazim-Richards to arrive in Brazil as early as tomorrow and feel due to his wife being Brazilian they have every chance of him signing on the dotted line.

"We are working on it. He will arrive here on Tuesday", Valdir Barbosa, the club's director of football, was quoted as saying by Dutch outlet Soccer News.

"His wife is Brazilian", he added.

And the Brazilian club's coach, Gilson Kleina, feels that Kazim-Richards has the potential to make a big impact on the Brazilian game.

"We were offered him", the coach explained.

"I spoke with him and also with the clubs where he played in Turkey, the Netherlands and Scotland. I am sure Kazim may be a surprise in Brazilian football."

The 29-year-old, who was born in London, spent time in the youth ranks at Arsenal before then kicking off his senior career at Bury.

Kazim-Richards signed for Celtic in the winter transfer window this year, putting pen to paper on a deal to keep him at Parkhead until the summer of 2018.
