Kyle Walker insists that he is looking forward to winning some medals with Tottenham Hotspur after enjoying a great 2015/16 campaign.

The right-back made 35 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring once and providing three assists as Spurs finished third in the Premier League.

Tottenham were in the hunt for the league title for the majority of the season, but a dip in form at the end which saw them failing to win their last four games meant they had to be satisfied with a third-place finish behind Leicester City and Arsenal.

However, Walker, who explained that he was pleased with both his and Tottenham’s performances last season, added that he has still a lot to offer as he targets winning silverware with the White Hart Lane outfit.

“It’s been great to be a part of such a special team with youth, excitement, energy and just a willingness to work hard every game”, he told the club’s official site.

“This last season has probably been one of those ones where I’ve topped when I got the Young Player of the Year award – obviously you’re not always going to be at the forefront of everyone’s minds with Harry Kane banging in all the goals and Dele Alli coming onto the scene and doing fantastically well, but personally I’ve been happy.

“Obviously we did well as a team, too, but I still think there’s a lot more to come from me.

“I’m 26 now so I’m not a young kid any more.

"Hopefully these are the prime years of my career and I can push forward and win some medals with Tottenham Hotspur.”

Walker, who is yet to win a trophy with Tottenham, joined the north London club from Sheffield United in 2009.
