Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not considering a move for Arsenal linked striker Alvaro Morata this summer.

New Red Devils boss Mourinho is expected to make a few key additions this summer to strengthen a squad that finished fifth in the Premier League and won the FA Cup last season.

The Manchester United board are expected to sanction large sums of money for Mourinho to retool the squad and it has been suggested that Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to become the club’s first summer signing.

However, he is not the only forward the club have been linked with and there have been claims that Manchester United are keeping a close watch on Morata’s situation, as Real Madrid look to buy him back from Juventus in the coming days.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-German are ready to offer big money to Real Madrid to sign the Spaniard this summer, but they are not expected to face competition from Manchester United.

According to Spanish daily El Confidencial, Mourinho is no longer considering a bid for the current Juventus striker and he wants to spend the money on other areas of the squad.

With Ibrahimovic mooted to be on his way to Old Trafford and Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Wayne Rooney already in the squad, Mourinho is said to be satisfied with the numbers in attack.

The Manchester United boss is expected to concentrate his funds on strengthening the midfield and defence as he looks to fix the spine of the squad this summer.
