Valencia are ready to make an offer for Manchester United linked Bologna youngster Amadou Diawara, according to Sky Italia.

Bologna snapped up the young defensive midfielder from San Marino Calcio last summer, and despite his tender years Diawara quickly established himself as a key figure at the club, making 34 Serie A appearances in his first season.

He took little time to attract the attention of some top clubs in Europe and there have been suggestions that Premier League giants Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are keeping a close watch on his progress at Bologna.

West Ham United have also been linked with a move for the player, but it seems Diawara could end up in Spain next season as Valencia are stepping up on their interest in the youngster.

It has been claimed Los Che are prepared to offer €15m for the 18-year-old defensive midfielder to take him to the Mestalla this summer and are set to open talks with Bologna.

The Serie A outfit are said to be ready to sell the player, but are demanding a fee of around €18m or €16m plus performance related bonuses.

With the difference in their figures being so small, it has been suggested that Valencia could snap up Diawara from Bologna this summer and beat off competition for his signature from England.

He has a contract until 2020 with Bologna.
