Liverpool are looking at Lille playmaker Sofiane Boufal as a replacement target for Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze, but the Reds have opposition for the Morocco international.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been keen to snap up Gotze, who he worked with at Borussia Dortmund, but the Germany international is reluctant to leave the Allianz Arena, despite being told his playing time may suffer next season.

Liverpool are eyeing Boufal as a replacement option, but according to French outlet Foot Mercato, the Reds will have opposition for the Lille star.

Indeed, both Borussia Dortmund and Inter are actively looking at Boufal, with the former likely to move if Henrikh Mkhitaryan leaves this summer.

As such, Liverpool may have to decide whether to hold on for Gotze and risk missing out on Boufal, something which would be a big blow if the German sticks to his stance of not leaving Bayern Munich.

Lille signed Boufal in the winter 2015 transfer window from Angers and he wasted no time in establishing himself at the northern France club.

Despite being born in Paris, Boufal represents Morocco at international level, making his debut for the African country earlier this year against Cape Verde.
