Chelsea have lodged a bid with Roma as they attempt to snap up Radja Nainggolan this summer.

The Blues are desperate to take the Belgium midfielder to Stamford Bridge as he has been specifically requested by incoming manager Antonio Conte.

Conte, currently the Italy boss and formerly coach at Juventus, has seen Nainggolan up close in Serie A and wants to be able to call upon the Roma man next season.

According to Sky Italia, Chelsea have lodged a bid of €35m for Nainggolan. While there are no add-ons in the deal, the fee would be paid as a lump sum to the Giallorossi.

The Premier League club are now waiting for Roma's response to the offer and it is unclear whether the Serie A giants will accept.
