Manchester United have bumped up their offer for Arsenal target Henrikh Mkhitaryan, as they look to snare the winger away from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola and Dortmund have been in a standoff for weeks as the Italian super agent has made it clear that his client won’t extend his contract, which expires at the end of next season.




Raiola has also revealed that the Armenian wants to join Manchester United this summer and has been in talks with the Dortmund officials to find an amicable solution over the last few weeks.

Manchester United on their part have contacted Dortmund for Mkhitaryan, who has also been on Arsenal’s radar, and there was speculation that they also tabled a bid, which the Bundesliga outfit promptly rejected.
 


However, according to German daily Bild, the Premier League giants have come back with a better offer and have tabled a bid €36m bid with Dortmund for the 27-year-old.

And it seems Dortmund’s stance on Mkhitaryan is softening as it has been suggested that the club are finally willing to sell the player for a fee of around €40m this summer.

Dortmund’s reported interest in Wolfsburg’s Andre Schurrle is also said to be an indication that the club are preparing for Mkhitaryan’s exit from the Westfalenstadion.

Raiola has revealed that Mkhitaryan is desperate to joins his dream club Manchester United this summer and it seems the player might get his wish in the coming days.
