Leeds United assistant head coach Pep Clotet is relishing pre-season after taking training at Thorp Arch with the first team today.

Clotet and head coach Garry Monk were present to put the players through their paces ahead of a pre-season which promises to be vital as the Whites look for a quick start to the 2016/17 Championship campaign.

Spanish coach Clotet is pleased to be on the pitch with the players once again and took to Twitter to post a photograph of himself in action.

He also issued a rallying cry, writing: "Let pre-season begin!"

Leeds are set to play two friendlies in Ireland as part of their pre-season preparations, with the club announcing their plans much later than their Championship rivals.

Hopes are high that can be different this term and chairman Massimo Cellino wants Monk and Clotet to deliver a top six finish as a minimum requirement.
