Celtic are all set to win the race for in-demand striker Moussa Dembele, following his departure from Championship side Fulham.

The highly rated striker is out of contract at Craven Cottage this summer and has been linked with some of England's biggest clubs this summer, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

But according to STV, it is Celtic who are set to win the race for Dembele and he has already undergone a medical with the Hoops ahead of putting pen to paper on a deal.

Celtic are expected to pay a training fee of £500,000 for Dembele, with half the sum going to French champions Paris Saint-Germain, where the 19-year-old spent time earlier in his career.

Dembele shone for Fulham last season in what was a difficult campaign for the Cottagers and netted 17 goals in 46 games for the club.

The striker came close to joining Tottenham in the winter transfer window, but the move fell through at the last minute.

His signing will no doubt be viewed as a big coup for Celtic under new manager Brendan Rodgers, with the former Liverpool boss beating off serious competition from the Premier League.
