Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has revealed that Michy Batshuayi did not ask him for advice over a move to Chelsea.

Premier League giants Chelsea have had a €40m bid for the striker accepted by French outfit Marseille and has thrashed out a five-year contract with the Belgium international.

Wilmots gave Batshuayi time off from training today so that he could attend a medical at a clinic in Bordeaux, ahead of sealing his transfer to Chelsea.

And the Belgium boss revealed that Batshuayi did not ask for his advice ahead of agreeing to sign for Chelsea, with the hitman just wanting time off to complete the medical.

"Michy did not ask me for advice", Wilmots was quoted as saying by Belgian broadcaster RTBF.
