Roma have offered a three-year contract to Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta, and are waiting for a final answer from the player.

The Serie A giants are in the market to sign a full-back this summer, and the 31-year-old Argentine has long been identified as their top target in the transfer window.

Roma reportedly have a verbal agreement in place with Zabaleta, and are pushing to get a deal over the line as soon as possible with a contract offer for the player.

According to Sky Italia, they have offered a three-year deal to the Argentine, and are currently waiting for a response from the Manchester City defender over their proposal.

Zabaleta has a year left on his contract with Manchester City, but it has been claimed that he has been given permission to talk to clubs if he receives an offer for a transfer this summer.
