Premier League giants Manchester City have confirmed the capture of Ukrainian youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko from FC Ufa.

Zinchenko, who is 19, scored twice and racked up four assists for Ufa last season, in a total of 24 appearances in the Russian Premier League.




A statement on Manchester City’s official Twitter account read: “Manchester City are pleased to announce the transfer of Ukrainian midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko from FC Ufa.”

The youngster, who can operate in a variety of positions including as a right winger, a central midfielder and a left-back as well, made three appearances for Ukraine in Euro 2016 as the men in yellow crashed out of the tournament in the group stages following defeats to Poland, Northern Ireland and Germany.
 


Acquired from Shakhtar Donetsk by Ufa, Zinchenko made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Russian side after he joined the club last year.
