Manchester United are ready to smash the world record fee to land Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to Italian daily La Stampa.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly have already joined the club, and a third signing in Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to be announced this week.

Jose Mourinho has said that he identified four key positions that he wanted specialist players for this summer, and with three signings more or less in the bag, the club are stepping up on their efforts to land the fourth ‘specialist’ player.

Midfield is believed to be Mourinho’s area of interest and it has been claimed that Juventus midfielder Pogba is his priority target for the summer.

Manchester United are said to have touched base with Juventus over the prospect of signing the 23-year-old midfielder, and it has been suggested that they are ready to offer €120m for the player.
