Crystal Palace have tabled a bid for Tottenham Hotspur linked attacking midfielder Franco Vazquez, but Palermo want more, according to Sky Italia.

The Eagles have entered the transfer market with a large war chest, and Alan Pardew has targets in mind as he looks to add quality to his Palace squad for next season.

The latest player to appear on Crystal Palace’s radar is Palermo attacking midfielder Vazquez, and it has been claimed that they have already submitted an offer for the 27-year-old Italy international.

While the figures of their bid are unclear, it has been suggested that it is substantial, but Palermo appear to have rejected the offer and want more.

Despite the initial rejection, Palace are expected to return with a fresh offer soon as they look to take Vazquez to Selhurst Park during the summer transfer window.

Tottenham have also been linked with a move for Italian international, but Pardew’s men are currently doing all the running to get a deal over the line in the coming month or so.

Vazquez joined Palermo from Argentine outfit Belgrano in January 2012, and netted 22 times in 109 appearances for the club.

He has a contract until 2019 with the Serie A outfit.
