Enner Valencia is looking to leave West Ham United, one of his representatives has claimed, though he is not desperate to move on this summer.

The Ecuador international is being chased by Italian giants Lazio, who have been trying to thrash out a deal with West Ham; Lazio want to take Valencia on loan next season and then sign him if he impresses.

West Ham meanwhile are aiming to recoup the £12m paid to sign Valencia from Pachuca in 2014.

The striker is ready to move on to ensure regular first team football next term, but he is not beating down manager Slaven Bilic's door to leave, his representative has been keen to stress.

Gonzalo Vargas told LaLazioSiaMonoi: "In these days we are planning a trip to England with Enner to talk to West Ham.

"He wants to go away, even if he is not crazy to do it because, unlike what I have read, he has a good relationship with both the coach and his team-mates.

"We have received very important proposals economically, but not from the top level leagues.

"He wants to play at the top – in Italy, Spain or England and the choice about his future will be 100 per cent motivated by sports and not economic factors", Vargas explained.

"It is true, Lazio have expressed a real interest and they are a possibility that Enner especially likes."

The striker's representative admits his client also has interest from Roma, though they have not firmed up their interest, while West Ham are most concerned with making sure they recoup the fee they splashed out for Valencia.

"Roma like him, but only Lazio have been in touch with the officials.

"West Ham want to recoup their investment, but this doesn't affect Enner.

"It is not true that West Ham want to sell him, even the coach informed him he wanted to keep him."
