Arsenal are ready to completely shut the door on Juventus' hopes of signing Alexis Sanchez by extending the forward's contract until 2020.

Juventus have been told Sanchez is not for sale, but the Chile international has been claimed to be frustrated at Arsenal's inability to challenge in the Premier League and the Champions League.

His current contract at Arsenal runs until the summer of 2018 and according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants the 27-year-old to pen a two-year extension.

It is claimed that Wenger wants to tempt Sanchez to sign by offering him a yearly salary of €12m.

Sanchez joined Arsenal in 2014 from Spanish giants Barcelona and quickly established himself as a key man at the Emirates Stadium.
