Borussia Dortmund have become the latest club to be linked with a move for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

The 26-year-old is expected to quit St. James' Park this summer following Newcastle's relegation from the Premier League to the Championship, as he seeks to continue playing at the top level.

Sissoko has been linked with a number of clubs, including Juventus and Manchester United, while now another side have entered the speculation mix.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Borussia Dortmund are the latest side to hold an interest in the France international.

The German giants believe Sissoko would be an ideal reinforcement ahead of their Bundesliga campaign and following the sales of Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United, Ilkay Gundogan to Manchester City and Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich, have money to spend.

It remains to be seen however whether Sissoko will be keen on a switch to the Bundesliga outfit.

Newcastle have been claimed to be looking for £35m in order to sell Sissoko this summer and are open to letting players leave for the right price.
