Manchester United target Paul Pogba has told Juventus that he wants to leave the club this summer, according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport.

The Premier League giants have been pushing to sign the French midfielder, and have already agreed personal terms with super agent Mino Raiola over a lucrative contract for the midfielder.

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and Raiola met the Juventus hierarchy yesterday, and opened talks over a proposed move for Pogba by slapping in a €101m opening bid.

While the Red Devils are yet to receive an answer, Juventus are expected to knock back the offer, and ask for an eye whopping fee of around €120m plus performance based bonuses.

Juventus are coming to terms with the fact that Pogba could leave this summer, but were waiting for the player to make his desire known to the club.

And the Frenchman communicated to the Italian champions, via his agent, that he wants to join Manchester United, amidst the big offer from Red Devils both in terms of transfer fee and wages.

Juventus, who are not known to hold on to players against their will, are keen to extract the best possible deal, and Pogba’s proposed switch to Old Trafford is expected to smash the world record fee Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale to Tottenham in 2013.

Pogba has reportedly told his family and friends about his desire to return to Manchester United and now the Juventus hierarchy are aware of the Frenchman’s intentions.
