Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies admits that it is important the club can get the right kind of players in this summer, but he is hopeful of seeing a few fresh faces soon.

The Scottish champions have seen off the fight from Gibraltar minnows Lincoln Red Imps to move to the third round of the Champions League qualifiers, where they will take on FC Astana.

Brendan Rodgers has stressed the importance of signing a few players before their trip to Kazakhstan next week, and the club are working hard to get a few deals over the line.

Davies admits that Celtic have their targets in mind and are hopeful of getting a few players in soon in order to strengthen the squad.

But he also stressed the importance of getting the right players, rather than just signing someone for the sake of getting a new name.
