Roma are confident of reaching an agreement with Arsenal for Wojciech Szczesny after fresh talks over the Pole’s proposed loan move to the Stadio Olimpico.

The Italian giants secured the 26-year-old on a season-long loan deal last summer, and after establishing himself as their number one between the sticks, the Pole is keen to continue at the club.

Roma have been in talks with Arsenal for weeks to secure a fresh loan deal, but are yet to reach an agreement that would mean Szczesny wearing the Giallorossi colours next season.

According to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, the club have held fresh talks with Arsenal over a deal for the Polish custodian, and the two clubs are closer than ever to an agreement.

Arsenal are ready to loan out the player to Roma for next season, with an option or obligation to make the move permanent at a later date, but there still remain a few disagreements between the clubs.
