Leeds United target Anthony Limbombe is set to join Club Brugge from NEC Nijmegen after the Dutch club agreed a deal to offload the wantaway winger.

Limbombe was wanted by Leeds last summer and the Whites were back at the window for him this summer, but the winger has had his heart set on a return to Belgium with Club Brugge.

NEC initially rejected Club Brugge's €1.7m bid for Limbombe, but with the player demanding to leave and skipping training – he handed in a sick note – they have relented and a deal has been done.

Limbombe is set to cost Club Brugge around €2m and according to Dutch daily De Gelderlander, he will put pen to paper on a four-year contract in Belgium.

The 22-year-old now just has to pass a medical later today to complete his switch.
