The trail has gone cold on Ryan Fraser and Leon Osman being linked with Leeds United, but Whites boss Garry Monk wants at least one new face in the door before next weekend's final pre-season friendly.

Monk's men were in action earlier today and lost 2-1 away to League One side Peterbrough United. The former Swansea City boss has come in for criticism from some quarters for arranging so few pre-season games and now just one stands between the Whites and the start of the new Championship season.

Leeds have been linked with Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser and free agent Leon Osman, both midfielders, but according to Radio Yorkshire, the trail has gone cold at present.

Monk though wants another arrival before Leeds host Serie A side Atalanta at Elland Road next weekend.

The Yorkshire giants have made six signings so far this summer, but the purse strings have been watched with only two players costing fees.
