Erik Lamela has blasted speculation over a potential return to Serie A and insists he is fully committed to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Argentina winger was signed by Spurs from Italian giants Roma in 2013 on a deal which could potentially hit £30m.

He took time to settle at White Hart Lane, but was a key man last season as Spurs put in a genuine title tilt before eventually finishing in third spot in the Premier League table.

Lamela has continued to be linked with a return to Italy however, with Juventus, Inter and Napoli all having been linked with him in recent times.

The winger is growing tired of the constant chatter and when asked about a return to Italy was quoted as saying by Italian outlet FC Inter News: "Since I arrived here [at Spurs] I feel that every year there has been a story about me returning to Italy or or moving to another team.

"I think there is too much talk.

"In my head I was always convinced that I wanted to play for Tottenham and this year is the same.

"I'm devoted exclusively to this team", Lamela added.

The winger's words will come as music to the ears of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who is looking for his side to kick on next season and also put in a strong showing in the Champions League.
