AC Milan have contacted Juventus striker Simone Zaza with regards to a proposed transfer to the San Siro this summer.

The Rossoneri have been frustrated by Carlos Bacca’s stalling tactics over the last few weeks, but are hopeful of offloading the Colombian forward in the current transfer window.

AC Milan need the proceeds from Bacca’s sale to unlock their summer recruitment plans, but despite the player still being a Rossoneri, the club have gone about identifying replacements.

And Juventus striker Zaza is at the top of the pile on AC Milan’s shortlist, as according to broadcaster Sportitalia, the club have already established contact with the Italian international.

The 25-year-old has struggled to carve out a regular slot in Massimiliano Allegri’s first eleven, and with Gonzalo Higuain on his way towards Turin, the Italian is unlikely to be a regular next season too.

And it has been claimed that Zaza has given his consent to the proposed transfer to AC Milan, but the club will now have to strike a deal with Juventus.

West Ham and Wolfsburg are also interested in Zaza, and it remains to be seen whether AC Milan can compete financially if it eventually comes down to an auction.
