Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has explained that he was pleased with the performance of his side’s youngsters during their 2-1 loss to Juventus in Australia on Monday.

Goals from Medhi Benatia and Paulo Dybala had handed Juventus a two-goal lead and Erik Lamela’s second half strike proved to be a consolation as Massimiliano Allegri’s men sealed a 2-1 win over the Premier League giants in their opening International Champions Cup game. 




The Argentine manager, who led Spurs to a third placed finish in the Premier League last season, has was pleased with the performance of his side’s youngsters.

Pochettino told Spurs TV: "It was a very good second half and in the end I am happy. It's not about the result it's about pre-season.
 


"It was a great experience for us. Lots of things to learn and lots of positives. I'm very pleased with our young players."
