Rangers teenager Jordan Rossiter has expressed his hope to benefit from the advice of the senior players at the club as he looks to nail down a spot in the first team.

Rossiter arrived in Glasgow this summer after choosing to move to Ibrox from boyhood club Liverpool, the Gers needing to pay a compensation fee for his services.

As the youngster continues working hard on the training pitch in order to stake claim for a spot in Mark Warburton's first team, he is keen to learn from the established players in the squad.

Referring to three players in the form Joey Barton, Niko Kranjcar and Andy Halliday, the 19-year-old said that the players are always there to help him out, guiding him through the training process.

“Joey is a brilliant player; he has been great to me and really helped me out since I’ve been here", Rossiter told his club's official website.

“He has played at the top level for years and the likes of Kranjcar and also Halliday can help me out and bring me on.

“They are always there for advice but it is more watching them on the training field and around the training ground.

"That is where you learn the most watching what players are like, how they do things and I have a lot to learn."

Rossiter went on to reflect on his time when he had the opportunity to learn from Steven Gerrard, while expressing his hope to see the pattern repeat this time at Rangers.

“They [Barton, Kranjcar and Halliday] are massive players in the game with big personalities which is the same as Steven Gerrard in the past but that is what you need in a dressing room and it will only help us."
