Bastian Schweinsteiger has been left out of the Manchester United squad that will travel to Sweden to take on Galatasaray in a pre-season friendly tomorrow.

There has been speculation all day that the Germany great, who announced his internaitonal retirement earlier today, has been asked by Jose Mourinho to find a new club.

The midfielder has been reportedly training away from the first team squad since his return from his extended break, leading to more rumours about his future at the club.

And a clear indication that he might not be part of Mourinho’s plans has been provided after he was left out of the 23-man squad that will travel to Gothenburg for tomorrow’s game against Galatasaray.

Along with Schweinsteiger, Adnan Januzaj’s name is also missing from the travelling party, giving credence to rumours that he might be leaving Old Trafford this summer.
