Florian Thauvin's agent has flown to England for talks with Newcastle United as he aims to resolve the future of his client.

The winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille in his native France and is claimed to be keen to return to the Stade Velodrome as the heavy slog of Championship football looms large on the horizon.
 



Lazio and Marseille are in for Thauvin, with the offers from both clubs, reported to be loan bids with purchase options, similar, according to Italian outlet Lalaziosiamonoi.it.

And it is claimed that Thauvin's agent has now flown to England to hold talks with the Magpies about his client.
 


Thauvin currently prefers a return to Marseille, the club he plied his trade for before being snapped up by Newcastle last summer and the side at which he finished last season on loan.

But Lazio are not giving up and are pushing hard to take the winger to Italy.

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will agree to give the final approval for Thauvin to leave St. James' Park this summer, but the player's agent is working to find a solution for his client.
