Sevilla have reached an agreement with Toulouse for the signature of Arsenal linked forward Wissam Ben Yedder.

The 25-year-old Frenchman has been attracting the attention of a few European heavyweights with his goalscoring ability, which led to 23 goals in all competitions last season for Toulouse.

West Ham and Leicester probed the possibility of signing the striker earlier in the summer, and even Arsenal were said to be contemplating making a move for Yedder in recent weeks.

However, it seems the Frenchman is on his way to Spain as according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Sevilla have struck a deal with Toulouse for his signature this summer.

It has been claimed that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs that would see Yedder join Sevilla for a transfer fee of €9m in the next few days.

The 25-year-old is expected to travel to Spain soon, and undergo a medical ahead of finalising the details of a contract that would see him wearing the Sevilla colours next season.

Yedder joined Toulouse from UJA Maccabi in 2010, and has scored 71 goals for the club in 174 appearances in all competitions.

He also represented France at Under-21 level, but is yet to break into the senior national team.
