West Ham are in talks with Serie A outfit Palermo for the signature of full-back Achraf Lazaar during the summer transfer window.

The Hammers are working hard to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season where they will be moving to their new home ground, the Olympic Stadium.

Adding a forward remains of the utmost importance for the east Londoners, and it seems they are close to securing the signature of Jonathan Calleri from Brazilian club Sao Paulo.

However, the club are also keen to strengthen their defensive line this summer, and according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, the club are pursing the signature of Palermo full-back Lazaar.

A Moroccan international, the defender has been earning rave reviews for his showings since joining the Serie A outfit in January 2014, and has attracted the attention of the Hammers.
