Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent has insisted that it is normal for his client to consider a transfer when he is being offered more money somewhere else.

The Senegalese defender’s future at Napoli is turning out to be one of the sagas of the transfer window, with Chelsea and Everton interested in snaring him away from the San Paolo.

Koulibaly, through his agent, has made it clear that he wants to leave Napoli this summer, but the Serie A giants have knocked back offers from Chelsea as they remain keen to hold on to the defender.

Bruno Satin, the defender’ agent, stressed that his client has other offers apart from Chelsea’s and feels it is normal for the defender to want a transfer as he is being offered a more lucrative contract compared to what he is earning at Napoli.

Satin told Italian daily Il Mattino: “It's not only Chelsea, Kalidou has other offers as well.

“Though at the moment, it’s in the hands of Napoli.

“When someone is offering you a bigger contract than you are on at the moment, it is normal for us to think, as for Kalidou this is a profession.”

Napoli are willing to offer him a new deal, but are yet to schedule a meeting with his agent to discuss terms of a new contract.

But Satin insisted that he is always open to meeting the club's officials as he wants what his best for his client.

“My job is to serve the interest of my client, and if the club want to meet me, they know how to find me.”
