Leeds United officials have been in Belgium today to hold talks over signing Benfica B left-back Alexis Scholl, with the deal tipped to go through in the coming days.

Scholl, a young Belgian defender, emerged as an option for the Whites in recent days, as they look to add another full-back to the squad.

The Belgian has been limited to B team football at Portuguese giants Benfica, but Leeds appear willing to take a punt on his potential, especially in light of Charlie Taylor handing in a transfer request.

And Leeds are pushing to get a deal done as, according to TV Yorkshire, club officials have been meeting over the signing of Scholl in Belgium today.

The Championship side are now confident of taking the Benfica B man to Elland Road in the coming days.
