Celtic have officially confirmed the signing of winger Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa and the former Manchester City man says it feels "amazing" to have joined the Hoops.

The Scottish champions have been working hard on a deal for Sinclair in recent days and have finally got their man, with the winger putting pen to paper on a contract running until 2020 with Celtic.

Celtic have confirmed that Sinclair is available to face Hearts this afternoon in the club's Premiership opener and the 27-year-old is over the moon to have made the move north of the border.

"It feels amazing to have joined Celtic", he told his new club's official site.

"It’s a massive club and I’m looking forward to it.  I’m here now and I’m happy to be here", Sinclair continued.

"I can’t wait to get on the pitch. When I went back to Aston Villa for pre-season, I heard Celtic were interested, and I just knew I had to come here.

"I had to look at this move and I thought it would be great for me. And because I know the manager and I know what to expect, hopefully I can get off to a flying start", he added.

Sinclair will be working under a familiar face in Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, as he has worked with the Northern Irishman before, at Chelsea and Swansea City.

Indeed, Sinclair was one of Rodgers' first signings when he took over at Swansea in 2010.

It remains to be seen whether the winger will be involved against Hearts later today.
