Arsenal have made contact with the agents of RB Leipzig defender Lukas Klostermann to register their interest in their client.

The Gunners have joined the 20-year-old's fan club after being impressed with his performances for RB Leipzig and at international level for Germany's Olympic side.

Klostermann has already been scouted by Arsenal's rivals Tottenham Hotspur, while Juventus and Ajax have also shown interest in the youngster.

Now, according to German daily Bild, Arsenal have taken a decisive step forward in the chase for the defender's services by contacting his agents to stress their interest in their client.

RB Leipzig however are not keen on losing Klostermann and are working to extend his contract at the club.
