Rangers winger Michael O'Halloran admits if he could sell any member of the current squad then he would offload himself, to Barcelona.

O'Halloran, who was snapped up by Rangers from St. Johnstone in the winter transfer window earlier this year, is a firm fan of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

In fact, O'Halloran would like to see Messi and his arch rival Cristiano Ronaldo at Rangers, though he would sell himself to Barcelona, likely to fill the Argentine's shoes at the Camp Nou.

"Obviously I would bring Messi and Ronaldo here", he told Rangers TV, when asked about if he had to sell one of the current squad, who would he sell and to whom.

"Oh yes, maybe Barcelona [I’d sell myself to]", he added, bringing out laughter from the filming team.

"I'd go to Barca and bring Messi here to help us a wee bit", O'Halloran concluded.

The 25-year-old winger started his career in the youth ranks at Celtic, before moving south of the border to Bolton Wanderers, where he kicked off his career as a professional.

O'Halloran returned to Scotland with St. Johnstone in 2014 and quickly established himself at the club.

The winger is still awaiting his first senior Scotland cap.
