Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi’s agent has confirmed that his client has agreed a contract with Arsenal ahead of a proposed move to England.

The 24-year-old Germany defender has been tipped to join Arsenal over the last few weeks, and it seems the deal has picked up pace over the last 24 hours as the Gunners get closer to signing him.

It emerged earlier today that Arsenal have already thrashed out personal terms with the player over a contract, and have taken one step closer towards completing the deal.

And his agent, Ali Bulut, confirmed that his client has indeed agreed a contract with Arsenal, and the transfer now depends on both clubs thrashing out an agreement.

He told German outlet Spox: “Shkodran and Arsenal have agreed a contract.

Valencia are refusing to budge from their asking price of €30m, as Arsenal have continued to hold talks with the club hierarchy to reach an agreement as soon as possible.

Mustafi is waiting for the agreement to happen before he travels to London for a medical with the Gunners.
