Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has put Sporting Lisbon midfielder Adrien Silva at the top of his list of targets for the remainder of the transfer window.

Pochettino is keen for Spurs to make further additions before the window slams shut later this month, with the Argentine knowing his side have Champions League football to balance with their Premier League campaign this season.

According to French magazine France Football, Pochettino is desperate to have Silva, who was born in France and started off in the youth ranks at Bordeaux, and has steered Spurs into the race after the midfielder was the subject of enquiries from Everton and AC Milan recently.

Pochettino has now put Silva right at the top of his list of targets for the remainder of the window.

The north London side have been tipped to slap in a bid of €15m for the Portugal international.

Silva, 27, is a product of Sporting Lisbon's youth academy and, apart from a brief loan spell with Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa, has never played his senior football outside Portugal.

Capped by Portugal at international level, Silva helped the country win Euro 2016 this summer.
