Rangers have officially confirmed the signing of striker Joe Garner from Preston North End.

The 28-year-old hitman has landed from the Championship side at Ibrox and put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Mark Warburton's men, increasing the manager's attacking options for the season.

Preston were keen to keep hold of Garner, but boss Simon Grayson explained that the striker was keen to speak to Rangers and now he has left the Championship club to head north of the border

Garner played a big role in helping Preston win promotion from League One in the 2014/15 campaign as he hit the back of the net on 27 occasions.

The striker joined Preston in 2013 and departs having scored a total of 57 goals for the club.
