A loan to a club in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League is being considered as a serious option for Arsenal new boy Takuma Asano, according to Belgian daily La Derniere Heure.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger snapped up Asano from Japanese outfit Sanfrecce Hiroshima earlier this summer, with the Frenchman dubbing the 21-year-old forward one for the future.

Asano has failed to receive a work permit to play in England yet and as such a loan move for the Japan star is an option.

And Belgium's top flight has emerged as a destination being given serious consideration.

It remains to be seen whether any Belgian sides will put themselves forward to offer the Japan international a home for the season.

Asano has made five appearances for Japan at international level since making his debut for the Asian country in 2015.

Wenger will have to weigh up which destination would better prepare Asano for the challenges of Premier League football in the future.
