Leeds United starlet Kalvin Phillips is keen to face one of the top Premier League clubs as he eyes a long EFL Cup run this season.

The Whites, who were eliminated from the first round of the League Cup last term, will face Luton Town in a second round clash tonight.

Garry Monk’s side edged out Fleetwood Town on penalties in the previous round of the domestic cup competition to set up a meeting with the League Two outfit at Kenilworth Road.

And Phillips, who played the full game against Fleetwood Town, is eager to defeat Luton Town and face Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal or Liverpool in the next round of the EFL Cup.

“It would be nice to have a good run in the cup”, he was quoted as saying by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“It would be good to win this and get a good team in the next round – Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool. Any of them.”

Leeds, who registered their first league victory of the season in the form of a 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, tied Phillips to a new three-year deal earlier in the summer which will keep him at the club until 2019.
