Aston Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has indicated that he is set to give some more tough love to Villa players after a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Bristol City.

Jack Grealish gave an early lead to Roberto Di Matteo’s men at Ashton Gate, and the Villans went into the break leading away from home in the Championship clash.

However, the Midlands team collapsed badly in the second half and Bristol City fired in three goals after the break to get all three points from the fixture, inflicting more hurt on the travelling support.

Xia slammed the second half performance of his side at Ashton Gate, and promised that his players are going to receive a ‘big talk’ from him after the woeful showing against Bristol City.

The Villa owner and chairman took to Twitter and wrote: “Shame for the 2nd half!
