Torino and Roma have been linked with a move for former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini in the final few days of the transfer window.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since Arsenal released him earlier in the summer, and has been in in talks with clubs in Italy over a free transfer in the final stretch of the window.

A number of Serie A clubs are in talks with the French midfielder and according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Torino and Roma have been mooted as possible destination this summer.

Torino have been in talks with the former Gunner, and are hoping to reach an agreement that would see Flamini wear their colours this season.

However, Flamini is also interested in a move to Roma, and it has been claimed that the Giallorossi have been offering the option of signing the midfielder in the next few days.

Torino are also considering other options for the midfield, but Flamini firmly remains on their radar for the last stretch of the transfer window as they look to strengthen the squad.

Flamini also has experience of playing in Serie A with AC Milan, and already has 96 appearances in the Italian top division, under his belt.

He does not have to sign before the window closes however, as he is a free agent.
