Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son admits that he is happy to know that his stock has remained high in Germany.

The South Korean joined Tottenham last summer after impressing for Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, and made 42 senior appearances for Spurs in his first season.

The forward has struggled to get into the Spurs team this term, and only made the matchday squad for Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

However, interest from Germany has not waned, and Wolfsburg have reportedly slapped in a €30m offer for the forward, with a view to taking him back to the Bundesliga before Wednesday.

Son is not too pleased about the speculation surrounding his future at White Hart Lane, but is happy to know that he is still held in high regard in Germany.

"It's not a good sign that transfer rumours are coming out", the forward told South Korean news agency Yonhap News.

"But I think it's meaningful that those in Germany acknowledge me."

He scored 41 goals and recorded ten assists in 135 Bundesliga appearances before moving to Spurs last summer.
