Leeds United’s attempt to sign Bournemouth midfielder Eunan O'Kane on transfer deadline day has stalled.

The Irish midfielder has been on Leeds’ radar for a while and the Whites finally made a bid to sign him on a season-long loan deal earlier today from the Cherries.

However, it seems the deal has hit a stumbling block as according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the negotiations between the clubs over the player have stalled.

While there are still a few more hours left for Leeds to revive the deal, time is running out for the Whites, and they will need to make quick decisions soon to rekindle their attempt to sign the Bournemouth midfielder.

O’Kane has not played a single minute of football this season, and it seems the Premier League outfit are ready to loan him out in order to allow him to play more football.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds decide to push through the deal before midnight, or look at other options in the remaining hours.

Leeds remain interested in bringing in players on deadline day, with a striker reportedly the primary objective for club owner Massimo Cellino.
