Rangers defender Fraser Aird, who is on loan at MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps, insists his side will never back down as they prepare to host New York Red Bulls.

Aird is currently on a season-long loan at Vancouver Whitecaps as he looks to feature on a regular basis and speed up his development.

So far this season the 21-year-old has clocked up 17 appearances in all competitions for the Whitecaps.

He clocked up 66 minutes in Vancouver Whitecaps' 0-0 draw away at Los Angeles Galaxy last weekend and has vowed to show the same never-say-die attitude this evening against the Red Bulls.

Aird took to Instagram to post a photograph of himself giving no inch against Los Angeles Galaxy's Jelle Van Damme and wrote: "Never back down, we go again today at BC Place!!"

The attack-minded full-back is a product of Rangers' youth system and turned out for the Gers in every tier in their journey back to the top flight of Scottish football.

Aird represented Scotland at youth level, but chose to turn out for Canada at senior international level.

He will hope to impress Gers boss Mark Warburton during the course of his loan in the MLS.
