Tottenham Hotspur are claimed to be considering re-signing Emmanuel Adebayor on a pay-as-you-play deal.

Adebayor is a free agent, which means he can move outside of the transfer window system, something which makes the former Arsenal man an attractive prospect for clubs in need of another striker.

Spurs released Adebayor in the summer of 2015, but according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, they are considering re-signing the striker.

Tottenham though want to keep a firm grip on the purse-strings and would not be willing to take Adebayor on a lucrative contract, but instead on a pay-as-you-play deal.

Adebayor is claimed to be considering the possibility of returning to White Hart Lane.
